The Northamptonshire Green Party today published the first results of is Air Quality testing, and simultaneously launched a Crowdfunder campaigh to hopefully enable wider testing across Northampton.
The first wave of testing covered locations in Kingsthorpe and St James in May 2016. These areas were identified as they both feature large Air Quality Management Areas, indicating levels of pollution are above legal levels. We currently have tests running in around a dozen more locations around the town, and expect results in mid August.
The Crowdfunding campaign, launched today, enables residents to contribute to the campaign and to suggest locations of concern for air quality testing. It's our hope that we can perform testing more widely across the town - enabling residents to understand what the air quality is like where they live, and helping all of us to get a better grasp of how widespread the problem is.
If you would like to read more about the campaign, and how you can help, the Crowdfunder page can be found here.
