Damon Boughen was born in Northampton General Hospital and has lived in South Northamptonshire for over 25 years.
He holds a BA (Hons) First from the University of Northampton, and an MA from the University of Warwick.
Since graduating, he has worked for numerous charities, and currently works on poverty in the UK, as well as being a trustee at Northampton Hope Center. A keen runner, he ran the London Marathon in 2013, and has competed in six half marathons.
Since 2012 he has written over a dozen articles on the Huffington Post UK, and has been published by other outlets including Thinks Africa Press and the Fabian Review.
He is also a keen rugby fan, having been a ticket holder at Northampton Saints for over 15 years.
